Connect Cloudinary to Bearousel

Cloudinary gives Buffer a public URL for carousel slides. Set up an unsigned upload preset, then add the Cloudinary details in Bearousel Settings.

How to set up Cloudinary

  1. Create an unsigned upload preset

Create a free Cloudinary account, then an unsigned upload preset: in Cloudinary's console, open Settings, then Upload, click Add upload preset, set Signing Mode to Unsigned, and save. Keep the preset's name and your cloud name for the next step.

  2. Open Cloudinary settings in Bearousel

The app says: "Required for Buffer publishing. Slides upload to Cloudinary so Buffer can fetch them from a public URL." Open Settings, click "Publishing", and find the "Cloudinary" section. First-run setup does not ask for Cloudinary, so add it here after setup and before your first publish.

  3. Enter and save both fields

Enter the "Cloudinary cloud name" and "Cloudinary upload preset (unsigned)". Click "Save Cloudinary". When configured, the "Cloudinary" status pill turns green.

What you get

  • Buffer can fetch carousel slides from Cloudinary public URLs.

What it costs

Cloudinary offers a Free plan. Check Cloudinary’s pricing page for current plan details.
